Before I wrote Remedy
Maker, my thoughts of mythic romance ran along the lines of Hercules
and his many loves. Or the most notorious love affairs of Poseidon, when he
pursued his sister, Demeter.

To tell the truth, I can’t name
just one Mythic romance as a favorite of mine. There are levels of steamy
emotions in the ancient fables, and obstacles the lovers had to overcome in
order to be with one another.

But there was never a Happily
Ever After!! And that’s the backbone of any romance!

I wanted – NO! Needed – a Mythic story with an
HEA. And if I couldn’t find it in the eight century author Hesiod, or in the
genius of Homer, then I’d have to create it myself.

Which I did, then I gave it my
own little spin — I placed my mythic characters in our present day world — and
created a story unlike anything I’ve ever read before.

Remedy Maker is about Patience,
a Boronda
Forest Wood Nymph who is living on borrowed time. She’s sick, and knows she’s

Why I love Alpha Males is no real surprise! The perfect Alpha Male for me could be a Vampire, a Scottish Laird, an English Rogue/Gentleman, a Werewolf or Shape-shifter, or a Knight. What I look or in an alpha male (only in books and television for me though!) is self confident, strong, sexy, and sarcastic! Yep I am easy to please. The only alpha in my real life is my ferocious four pound Pomeranian, Cosmos. 🙂

An Alpha Hero would have all the usual tributes one would expect from an Alpha.. Strong, Sexy, Tall, etc. etc. But he would also be intelligent, have a great sense of humor, hard working, definitely one who would go after what or who he wants. Very protective of what he considers his.. family, friends, the woman he wants… A no nonsense taker, confident, passionate and compassionate (even if the compassionate side of him is rather hidden inside him).
